Our Story

Hi! I'm Liliana Olvera Bedolla, founder and CEO of LOB Cosmetics! Growing up, I envisioned becoming a CEO and creating a line of products for everyone. A line with my name represented my vision and passion. Most importantly, I wanted to make a vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, and gluten-free product. I started wearing makeup at the age of 12. I would sneak into my mom's room, steal her foundation, and wear that to school. After wearing only foundation for several months, I asked my mom to buy me makeup. I went to the drugstore with my mom, buying contour, mascara, foundation, and anything else I could access. I started experimenting with different brands' formulas to understand the variety of quality, starting with high-end brands to drug stores. That's when my dream began. I knew then that I wanted to dive into the makeup industry. Create my formulas and products.

Unfortunately, I had to put my dream on hold. I didn't have what it took to become a CEO, the creativity to put out products. I didn't want to slap my name into a product that had someone else formulas. Their view on what the product should be. I wanted to be involved in the process down to the ingredients. I tried to put all my passion for makeup into my products. I didn't have enough confidence in myself to continue with my dream. So, I worked at my part-time job, but I didn't give up. I studied cosmetology formulas in the meantime. I learned about different oils and their benefits. I studied for months and months, and then, one day, I decided to buy everything I needed to create lip gloss. I tested different formulas until I mastered them. I proved to myself that I could do it and that anything I put my mind to was possible. All I had to do was believe in myself. I think that I am capable of making my dreams come true.

The idea of launching LOB Cosmetics was very emotional but also terrifying. Your mind plays tricks and makes you doubt. It all changed. On April 7th at 10:04 am, I got the most beautiful news. It was the best news I could've witnessed, and god gave me. I was on the road to becoming a single mom. I have a reason to work harder each day and have something to look forward to. If I was going to teach someone to love their passion and to go for what drives them, I should lead the way. I'm excited for you all to try my first collection! 9 beautiful, stunning lipgloss shades. Working on this first collection was a joy and a wonderful experience, as well as the other ones I have in store. This journey has been a rollercoaster, with many obstacles and surprises. But, the moment has finally come to release. I put a lot of love into the packaging and the making of the formulas. It's my passion, my dream come true, and I hope you all enjoy my products.
